Senior Scrum Master

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scrum Master to join our Enterprise Data & Integrations team. As the Senior Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the Agile methodology within our organization, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of data and integration projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, remove impediments, and foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Scrum Master Leadership

• Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple data and integration teams, guiding them through the Agile process and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach team members on Agile best practices and empower them to self-organize and continuously improve their processes.
• Actively engage with other Scrum Masters in the organization to drive consistency in Agile processes where appropriate and align on opportunities to mature.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters to prioritize and plan the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency, facilitating communication and coordination among team members, stakeholders, and leadership.

Remove Impediments

• Identify and address impediments that hinder the progress of the data and integration teams, leveraging resources and escalating issues when necessary.
• Proactively anticipate and mitigate risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues to maintain project momentum and delivery timelines.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the data and integration teams, promoting a culture of learning, experimentation, and adaptation.
• Encourage innovation and creativity in problem-solving, championing innovative ideas and approaches to enhance team performance and delivery outcomes.

Metrics and Reporting

• Track and report on key Agile metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, and team performance, providing insights and recommendations for process optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure project success criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification required. Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams, preferably in data management or integration projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices, with hands-on experience implementing Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
• Experience working with data engineering, data warehousing, business analytics, data science or data modeling teams is highly desirable.
• Passion for driving innovation and delivering value through data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
• Criminal background check required.

• Scaled Agile Framework Certificate preferred
