About You
You are adept at building software frameworks and tools to test products both functionally and for load and scale. You thrive in working independently as well as within and across agile teams to deliver testing coverage wins for the company. You are comfortable and enjoy debugging and building cloud based software and infrastructure primarily focussing on the back end. You have successfully implemented deployment scripts to automate the creation of end to end testing environments for functional and performance validation in modern public cloud environments. You are comfortable with approaches to seed data and measure performance at scale for a variety of different kinds of cloud products and use cases.
About the Role
We are looking for a senior member of our engineering team to lead the build out of our end to end software testing infrastructure for functional and performance validation of back end systems. You will take the lead in building out the core infrastructure and tools used to validate our next generation horizontally scalable financial engine. You will collaborate with software engineering domain experts to build configurable and automated testing frameworks that directly validate our software atack. As you learn about our product and software components you will have the opportunity to grow into senior level roles in building out our product! As reliability and performance are key to earning our customers’ trust, you will build robust systems that are observable, maintainable, and scalable.
What you get to do every day
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks - testing a single component or complete end to end systems.
- Setting up automated test systems to build full stack and end to end testing suites that fit into our CI/CD pipeline.
- Research new or better alternate automated testing solutions to keep pace with the evolving requirements.
- Create performance and scale tests to ensure our products meet and exceed the needs of our growth targets and new customer go-lives.
- Understand product requirements and standards. Define quality and test strategies for our products.
- Understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios.
- Work directly with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers and Operations/Support to understand product features and use cases, review technical/product designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency.
- Be a subject matter expert on quality assurance, testing processes, methods and tools.
- Analyze test results and issues. Take appropriate follow up actions.
- Have a future opportunity to develop products and services in addition to test automation.
What you bring to the role
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 5-10 years overall SDET and/or development experience.
- Experience developing high quality test strategies and test automation.
- Track record of building and deploying automation and performance test frameworks in both cloud and local dev environments.
- Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to difficult problems.
- Expert in API testing & API automation & tools.
- Experience in web application and device test automation using Selenium, Robotium, Appium or any equivalent tool/s.
- Strong desire to learn, exchange feedback and grow into senior development roles in our product - from our internal legacy and futuristic technical designs, to retirement domains and workflows that are critical for our business.
- Ability to think creatively, and share knowledge with others.
- Experience interacting/collaborating with other teams (development, product management, customer support).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, people and collaboration skills.

Compensation - The salary range for this role is between $148,000 - $210,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, and may vary by location. Exact compensation will be determined by the candidates' skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
