Senior Security Engineer

Job Description:

• Working alongside Engineering teams to design Security into Product(s)
• Conducting code and design reviews for product teams, tools and services
• Ensure a secure development lifecycle including threat modeling, static and dynamic code testing, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Create and publish tools to help fix security challenges at scale
• Translate customer and internal user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the platform security landscape.
• Interface closely with Analytics/Science, Design, Engineering and IT Operations leaders to define scope, review and refine technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
• Work with architects and development leaders to design an appropriate forward-leaning security posture for our internal systems and deployed platforms
• Stay current with security compliance, standards and regulations

Minimum Requirements:

• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience with dynamic application security testing, static application security testing, fuzzing, and secure coding patterns
• 2+ years experience with cloud security with AWS, Azure, and / or GCP
• Proven ability to investigate the impact of security engineering challenges
• Strong knowledge of web application, cloud security, and IoT security obstacles
• Demonstrate ability to recognize vulnerabilities and exploit them
• Excellent communication skills
• Hands on delivery from inception to completion
• Capable of writing production code and fixes for multiple codebases in at least Java, Python, GO or C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with security concepts involving Kubernetes tooling like helm, kubectl, kustomize, kpt and others.
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines in Kubernetes environments 
• Experience security in IOT and Device management systems 
• Experience with PKI and Certificate services.
• Experience with GCP or AWS with focus on security
