As a Sr. Engineer, Security at Health Gorilla, you will report to the IT Security Manager. You will implement information security strategies and procedure.
Health Gorilla is looking for an Information Security Engineer who executes solutions following our architectural designs, best practices, and regulatory or compliance requirements. As risks change, the Security Engineer recommends modifications and enhancements to ensure we are evolving and identify areas for improvement.
What you will do at Health Gorilla- Work with our engineering teams to define/refine information security, systems management policies and settings.
- Oversee vendor and 3rd party information security reports/lists.
- Develop infrastructure monitoring, reporting and log management tools.
- Create AWS Cloud Formation templates, Ansible scripts and automation with AWS Systems Manager.
- Review information security
- Manage the use of access control systems security tools and intrusion detection systems to identify anomalous events, security infractions, and system vulnerabilities.
- Integrate information security controls into an environment to identify risks and reduce their impact.
- Provide analysis of information security risks with recommended solutions.
- Create security documentation and communicate security procedures to users.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system and AWS ecosystems.
- 7+ years conducting security work in enterprise infrastructure or cloud environments (AWS experience a preferred).
- 3+ years working with any of the following: intrusion detection systems, remote access VPN technologies, vulnerability. assessment tools, event and log analysis solutions and configuration and change management systems.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Security, Risk Compliance, Auditing, Business Analysis and Process Control.
- RFP/RFI Response Knowledge (ability to work and support proposal efforts).
- Certifications in information technology security- AWS Security, AWS Associate Level certification, CISSP or CCSP.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Must live in Miami Florida and be willing to work a hybrid work schedule.
- Health Gorilla takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this role is $132,000 to $198,000, based on experience and geography. Please note that ranges may be modified at any time, and there is no guarantee offers will be at the top of a posted range.
