Senior Security Engineer- Tanium Security
Job Description
Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer- Tanium Security. Sinclair Broadcast Group is one of the largest news, sports, and entertainment companies in the United States. The Senior Security Engineer- Tanium Security will be responsible for the following activities:
- Lead implementation and configuration of the Tanium tool across multiple workloads
- Build deployments and deployment packages (packages and patching)
- Create trending dashboards within Tanium tool
- Perform day to day maintenance and address issues associated with Tanium troubleshooting
- Complete tasks for Information Security projects that align with Sinclair's organizational goals
- Implement necessary enhancements/updates/upgrades to existing security products as they relate to Tanium modules: Deploy, Patch, Comply, Asse
- Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
- Assist with integrations and automations where feasible for the Tanium platform
- Provide administrative support for Tanium product/program to business units
- Support the management of security incidents, requests/tasks and assign as needed
- Develop operational metrics related to Tanium product/program
- Perform other duties as necessary under assigned projects and Security team needs
Requirements:
- 4+ years' experience with Tanium
- 3+ years' experience with Asset Discovery and Management
- 3+ years' experience with engineering enterprise solutions
- 2+ years' experience with endpoint scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
- 1+ years' experience with DLP and rule-based sensitivity labels creation/administration
- Ability to design and build new features and workflows into Tanium security technology
- Ability to provide troubleshooting Tanium at all levels (networking, endpoint, etc.)
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Exposure to incident management systems and ticketing tools.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and working experience with common IT Platforms: Windows, Linux, Directory Services, AWS, Azure, etc.
- Professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GSE preferred
- Familiarity with FISMA, SAS-70, SSAE-16, PCI, SOX, Common Criteria, ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27000 series or other compliance regulations
