Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer to join the Security and Trust organization. In this role you will work closely with other security teams to build infrastructure to support the security organizations mission of reducing risk while maintaining development speed. By using the shift left principle you will move security testing and implementation earlier in the development lifecycle. As a Senior Security Operations Engineer you will be responsible for providing security support to multiple teams across Klaviyo to ultimately enable those teams to securely and independently deploy and maintain secure environments.
How you will make a difference:- Build CI/CD pipelines with a security first approach to assist teams in deploy secure code faster
- Utilize security tooling as gates along the CI/CD pipeline
- Work with the Offensive Security and Detection & Response teams to provide infrastructure to support offensive and defensive capabilities
- Assist teams so they can remediate security vulnerabilities
- Build automation to prevent security issues from entering our environments
- Identify security gaps and determine best ways to increase visibility and reduce risk
- Conduct periodic security reviews of existing infrastructure and make recommendations
- 5+ years of hands-on security operations experience in the modern cloud environments
- In-depth knowledge in securing AWS services such as (EKS, EC2, RDS Aurora, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Experience leveraging scripting languages to automate or build features (Bash, Python, Go and/or Ruby)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM and centralized logging (e.g., Splunk, ELK)
- Experience in deploying and securing workloads to Kubernetes
- In-depth knowledge of securing Linux system, preserving forensic artifacts, and working with tools similar to auditD
- Automation-first approach for all work performed
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team player with a strong, self-managing work ethic
