Senior Security Platform Engineer

About the role:
In this opportunity as Senior Security Platform Engineer you will:
- Be a key part of the 24/7 security engineering team
- Be 3rd line support of security tools and infrastructure. This will include Anti-malware tools (Currently Trend products), EDR Tools (Currently FireEye HX), XDR Tools (SentinelOne)
- Provide 3rd level support including, but not limited to, responding to alerts, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution to meet customer and SLA needs.
- Act as an interface with the other IT disciplines inside the larger organization, including network engineering, storage engineering, systems management engineering, and platform engineering to provide resolution of service issues.
- Work with our partners to define and apply security configurations for the services offered by ISRM.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Security Platform Engineer if your background includes:
- Minimum 5 years IT experience
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment
- Experience with, or working knowledge of AV/EDR software.
- Application/Infrastructure engineering experience
- Excellent customer service and communication (oral / written) skills required.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related Field
- Knowledge of and experience with a Linux OS distribution.
- Scripting experience (python, powershell, etc.)
- Knowledge of and experience with cloud platforms a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with related Windows Server technologies.
