The Senior Security Professional protects the organization's employees, properties, and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger. The Senior Security Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Security Professional reports to the Security Lead and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and technology of our enterprise badging team. This team is responsible for issuance of credentials and smart access badges for the enterprise. Senior Security Professional maintains ownership of badging daily processes and workflows as well as execution of the work. The candidate will fully manage current and future badging system technology applications through their lifecycle including change requests, new deployments, QA testing and any required troubleshooting.
The Senior Security Professional will assist with bulk badging projects, act as the primary point of escalation for badging related issues, and is responsible for maintaining metrics and supplies for the team. The candidate will implement and maintain a formal continuous improvement lifecycle approach to badging operations, implementing lessons learned and data-driven enhancements as appropriate.

Responsibilities
- Leads enterprise badging operations including a small team of contingent staff.
- Owner of badging process documentation, playbooks, training and onboarding materials.
- Act as primary escalation point for all badging related issues
- Manages badging technology applications to include enhancement and opportunity identification
- Execute bulk badging projects as needed to support M&A or rebranding efforts
- Manages all audit and compliance requests related to access control
- Responsible for maintaining and reporting regular team metrics
- Responsible for maintaining necessary supplies to meet operational requirements
- Ensures continued operational excellence and superior customer service experience
- Foster a collaborative and engaging team environment
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement approach for all badging and credentialling operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or suitable military or government experience
- 3-5 years private sector experience in a physical security operations, infrastructure design, risk assessment or similar role
- Understanding of physical security needs to meet compliance with regulatory requirements and standards including SOC2, ISO27001
- Understanding of access control systems, including Lenel OnGuard
- Experience leading teams, willingness and desire to create a team learning environment
- Experience working in a large-scale, complex, matrixed and fast-paced environment
- Advanced critical thinking and communication skills
- Highly organized, adapts quickly to changing demands, great attention to detail
- Problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently and knows when to escalate
- Able to respond to strategic direction, recognize leadership intent and re-prioritize workload accordingly
- Strong sense of personal accountability, sound professional judgement, and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PSP/CPP or other security/system certifications
