At Salesloft, our Senior SEO and Conversion Manager is responsible for the success of the SEO program: the strategy, the processes, the reporting and the performance for what is one of Salesloft’s biggest opportunities for growth. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Content, and Demand Generation teams to implement your vision, regularly reporting to both the Marketing Leadership team and the wider business on progress and performance.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for delivering the growth via Salesloft organic search channel, specifically you will:

  • As the Senior SEO and Conversion Manager, you will be accountable for the growth, development, and evolution of the SEO program at Salesloft and the long-term success of this program
  • Communicates SEO strategy, progress and performance to the Marketing Leadership team and the wider business.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Revenue & Marketing Operations, Demand Generation, Communications and PR and Paid Media to execute the SEO strategy
  • Develop and maintain transparent and well-communicated processes for your strategies, with a focus on objective data, providing regular updates on progress and challenges
  • Be obsessed with converting more website users to prospects through journey mapping, conversion rate optimization and A/B testing
  • Drive awareness and understanding of SEO requirements and research to the Communications, Demand Generation and Content teams, helping to ensure that content is built in a search engine optimized fashion
  • Increase organic and referral traffic volumes over various sites with the overall goal of increasing conversions (qualified leads)
  • Work with our in house content writer and PR specialist to ensure the content is relevant to SEO strategy and keyword focus

You will be critical in creating strategy, process and the framework for organic campaigns to demonstrate Salesloft as #1 in the marketplace.

THE TEAM:

Our Salesloft’s Marketing team is comprised of seasoned and up-and-coming demand generation specialists, inbound SDRs, product marketers and industry leaders who are all aligned on one vision and mission:

The Marketing team consists of results-oriented SaaS marketing professionals defining and owning the sales engagement market. THE SKILL SET:

  • 8 - 10+ years leading an SEO program (SaaS business model is a plus)
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • Recognised as a thought leader around SEO within your existing organization with the ability to demonstrate that throughout the interview process
  • Highly desirable - Strong demonstrable experience of our core MarTech stack of:
    • Wordpress or similar (5+ years)
    • Google Analytics (5+ years)
    • HotJar or similar
  • Experience communicating SEO performance strategies to executive level stakeholders.
  • Expert understanding of fundamental SEO concepts such as PageRank, E-A-T and the Reasonable Surfer Model.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMRush) 
  • Expert at analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends, Google Search Console)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • A data-driven, process and KPI-oriented mentality
  • A bias for action and the ability to build a results driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience working with senior leadership
  • Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates. 
  • Review objectives to determine success of operation. 
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your territory 
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Audit Salesloft’s existing organic search motion, identify areas for improvement 

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Complete audit Salesloft’s existing organic search strategy, build and begin to implement a roadmap for the next 12-24 months
  • Own the relationship with our search partner 
  • Build out guidance for the content writers working within Salesloft’s marketing team
  • Set targets with leadership on how organic can grow and scale over the next 24 months
  • Contribute to the procurement of SEO tooling to quantify performance and opportunities

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Begin to see positive results from implementing the organic search roadmap
  • Revise the SEO roadmap and set an initial course for 6-12 months of SEO initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of sophisticated internal SEO tooling to quantify performance and opportunities
  • Craft dashboards that improve transparency and accountability of SEO and begin reporting on SEO performance to the wider business
  • Identify and target highly ambitious opportunities on Salesloft.com and beyond
