Overview:

SDS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Server Administrator/Server Architect to join our San Diego team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, server virtualization, data migration projects, and backup solutions both onsite and in the cloud.

Job Responsibilities include:

Server Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.

Virtualization: Implement and manage server virtualization projects to optimize resource utilization and improve system performance.

Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration projects to ensure seamless transitions with minimal downtime.

Backup Solutions: Develop, implement, and manage both onsite and cloud-based backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Security Compliance: Ensure all server and data management practices comply with DoD security standards and possess a Security+ or higher DoD authorized certification.

System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify potential issues, and optimize systems for peak performance.

Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for server-related issues.

Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, processes, and procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT infrastructure goals and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Active DOD Secret Security Clearance

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field

5 years of experience in the following items:

- Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022.

-Server virtualization and data migration projects.

-Experience in both onsite and cloud backups.

Active CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent IAT Level II certification
