working from our Huntsville, AL facility. This position will assist the sewing supervisor in the instruction and training of assigned employees in production, work methods, and shop practices. The potential candidate will aid in developing project designs to create prototype systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in sewing and joining a variety of large format materials. He/she will possess the ability to train other employees to read and interpret sewing blueprints and instructions. A background in fabric prototype design, using SOLIDWORKS Computer Aided Design (CAD) software is preferred. He/she will also ensure project timelines are met and stay within budget.
Required Skills:
- Associate's Degree in a related field
- 4 years of experience in sewing/fabric prototype design
- In-depth knowledge of industrial sewing practices
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced skills, with ability to create mechanical drawings using SOLIDWORKS CAD software
- Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of Defense
