Senior SharePoint Administrator / Trainer, #561
Clearance: Ability to obtain a public trust.
Dev Technology is looking for a SharePoint Administrator/Developer with direct, hands-on experience providing resolution of SharePoint collaboration issues. This employee will plan, lead, and implement a migration and upgrade from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online for a customer’s intranet site. The best candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, bring attention to detail, and seek to solve problems for our Government customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze SharePoint sites, InfoPath forms, and applications to plan and implement the migration.
- Present recommendations to the client for crucial decision points in the project, keeping the long-term maintainability, stability, scalability and security of the client’s environment in mind.
- Work with the PM and customer to determine the best approach and schedule for migration to maximize business value for the customer.
- Lead the team in migrating SharePoint 2016 intranet sites to SharePoint online using Sharegate.
- Provide on-site Tier 3 support for resolution of SharePoint collaboration issues. Tier 3 support is defined as issues escalated by the CFTC Customer Support Center for advanced support requiring experience with specific SharePoint collaboration functions. Customer support issues are routed and tracked utilizing the Footprints software package.
- Develop ways to automate site creation, site analysis, and other aspects of migration to maximize repeatability and quality
- Assist SharePoint collaboration end users in establishing, utilizing, and maintaining collaboration sites, including the managing of permissions, lists, views, libraries, and web parts
- Design and create workflows to automate forms and business processes using out-of-the-box SharePoint
- Design and create forms to automate business processes using either out-of-the-box SharePoint, InfoPath, or other forms technology available at CFTC
- Troubleshoot SharePoint collaboration issues to root cause and complete and/or coordinate fixes
- Manage and maintain existing SharePoint collaboration knowledge base, including how-to guides, site owner lists, and collaboration wiki
- Assist in the development and provision of SharePoint collaboration training to end users
- Communicate with ODT staff at all levels to troubleshoot issues, facilitate problem resolution
- Develop and follow governance to support a consistent and structured collaboration environment
- Support testing and troubleshooting of SharePoint 2016 content migration to SharePoint Online
- End user training and education
Assisting change management initiatives when migrating into SharePoint Online
Providing 1:1, group, and recorded trainings for end users
Building a repository of training resources for easy end user consumption
Assisting with instilling best practices and governance through end user education
Supporting SharePoint Online administration duties and interactions with other M365 service
Required Education, Experience and Skills:Â
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of SharePoint Administrator experience in a professional setting
- Experience with SharePoint online, Azure Cloud environment, and Power Platforms
- Experience with SharePoint Online 'modern' components
- Ability to establish, utilize, and maintain SharePoint Online sites, especially using automation
- Previous experience planning and leading SharePoint migrations using tools such as Sharegate
- Ability to manage permissions, lists, views, libraries, and web parts
- Ability to create workflows to automate forms and business processes using out-of-the-box SharePoint
- Ability to customize SharePoint using JavaScript, JSLink, and other scripting languages
- Comfortable mentoring more junior employees to develop their skills and guide their work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with stakeholders and project leadership
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with PowerApps and Power Automate preferredÂ
