Senior SharePoint and Solutions Architect
Job Description
Summary:
The Systems Data Architect Level III will support a Solutions Delivery and SharePoint team as a part of a large, complex cybersecurity, engineering and PMO contract for a federal customer. The candidate will provide solutioning expertise, both technically and from a business perspective supporting SharePoint enhancements, maintenance, migration, and other activities in a SharePoint federal workspace. The candidate will be adept in leveraging current SharePoint and other existing technologies to develop and drive solutioning for the organization. In addition, the candidate will provide Mobile support and integration with other O365 applications (OneDrive, Teams).
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, possess the inherent interest to continue learning new technologies to solve problems and have a collaborative and continual improvement mindset in all facets of the role.
Job Duties:
- Evaluates architectural options and defines overall architecture of the system.
- Evaluates new and existing software products.
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to help management decide whether implementing the proposed system will be financially feasible.
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains complex custom SharePoint applications.
- Provides subject matter expertise and technical consulting support on internal applications and interfaces.
- Provides solutions, mentors and guides project teams in development of modern business methods/utilities, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
- Leads SharePoint Migration activities and Mobile support and integration with other O365 applications (OneDrive, Teams, etc.).
- Drives engagement with IT Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure development and deployment of solutions.
- Incorporates DevOps and Agile methodologies in implementing business solutions, mapping business strategies to Application Architecture and Delivery.
- Clearly communicates complex technical solutions with Stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with requester, engineering, operations and maintenance, compliance other stakeholders, and the project manager to identify current operating procedures, including applying expertise in Microsoft SharePoint product capabilities, customization, and development avenues to solve complex problems.
- Leverage Microsoft SharePoint technologies and resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation based on experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of general experience
- 5+ years of experience w/ Enterprise Software architecture.
- 5+ years of experience SharePoint 2013/2016 Administration and design.
- 5+ years of experience with Relational Database and operating systems.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
- 5+ years of experience with writing, modifying, and running PowerShell Scripts
- 5+ years of experience consulting clients on potential SharePoint Solutions, client presentations, translating business requirements into technical requirements.
- Significant experience with O365 strategies/roadmaps.
- Experience transforming the vision of a SharePoint user request into a feasible solution
- Demonstrated experience with developing cost-benefit analysis, return on investment analysis, and analysis of alternatives for a technical or SharePoint solution.
- Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing project review support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy supporting the federal workspace
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Deft ability to facilitate deeper technical sessions while clearly articulating highly technical discussions to non-technical stakeholders
- Effectiveness in the use of computer tools, e.g., spreadsheets and databases
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience in providing expertise towards the planning, executing and maintenance of a major SharePoint environment migration (i.e. SharePoint 2013 to 2016)
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a continuous process improvement culture
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and effectively communicate technical concepts in a compelling, persuasive manner to non-technical persons.
- Excellent ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with numerous counterparts and rapport, including contract stakeholder and government representatives.
- Capable of working under tight deadlines and on several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time and resource management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical/business solutions to personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to demonstrate extremely strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and work ethic
- Ability to work odd hours outside of standard schedule as needed, e.g. weekends or after normal work hours.
