Senior Shopify Developer

Applied Labs is looking for an experienced Shopify technical manager to join our rapidly growing distributed team of IT professionals.

You'll be helping our customers to develop a technical solution and serve as their virtual technical manager, while making sure the solution is properly delivered by your development team. We see you as a bridge between our clients and our Shopify development team. You will also get a chance in structuring our Shopify educational program, where you’d work with the educational manager to develop an effective course structure. The educational program is going to be implemented for the purpose of training entry-level developers to meet our standards. We are looking for a talented Senior Shopify Developer to join our team and take our projects to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shopify Development: Design, develop, and implement custom Shopify themes and apps to meet client requirements.

• E-commerce Optimization: Optimize Shopify stores for performance, speed, and conversion rate.

• Custom Features: Develop and integrate custom features and functionalities to enhance the user experience.

• API Integration: Work with third-party APIs and services to integrate additional functionalities into Shopify stores.

• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.

• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical assistance and code reviews.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and Shopify’s development environment.

• API Knowledge: Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

• Responsive Design: Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.

• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Shopify Plus Experience: Experience with Shopify Plus and advanced e-commerce features.

• Backend Knowledge: Familiarity with backend technologies and server-side development.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

• Certifications: Shopify Developer Certification or other relevant certifications.
