Summary/Objective:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be a part of the Platform Infrastructure team that will design, develop, deliver, and maintain a microservices-based cloud software solution utilizing modern orchestration technologies.  This is a unique opportunity to lead the engineering organization in areas of standardized, automated infrastructure and service provisioning and orchestration.
What you will do:

• Define, build, and maintain scalable, efficient, observable, and reliable infrastructure services as a product through automation and self-servicing tools.   
• Collaborate with SREs and senior engineers across engineering organizations on best practices.
• Review functional and technical requirements to identify gaps, and limitations, propose simplifications and communicate ideas effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to the design of systems and provide technical leadership for projects with increasing complexity.
• Reduce toil (automate, automate, and automate some more).
• Build monitoring and alerting for the Platform Infrastructure.
• Be on an on-call rotation to respond to incidents that impact the BeyondTrust platform availability.

What skills do you need?

The ideal candidate will be proficient in several of the follow skills and disciplines.

• AWS Cloud Resources (S3, EC2, RDS, etc.)
• Kubernetes clusters (in EKS).
• Service Mesh (e.g.: Istio)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.)
• Continuous Build (e.g.: Gitlab), Continuous Delivery (e.g.: ArgoCD)
• Monitoring and analytics platform (e.g.: Datadog)

What is required:

• 5+ years’ experience delivering and supporting enterprise-ready cloud-based systems.
• Solid understanding of modern system design patterns.
• Experience working on an Agile team in a continuous integration and development environment.
