THE TEAM:

Zuora’s engineering team is focused on building and delivering world class SaaS Products and Services for our customers. We’re also tackling some really cool technical infrastructure and platform capabilities, efforts that have previously resulted in multiple technology patents. We run primarily on a distributed, microservices architecture transformed from our original monolithic codebase allowing for easy customization and extension of our products by our entire engineering group, as well as customers and partners. We have made a strong commitment to building services and tools that make it easy (and fun) for developers to build and deploy their own services, including a centralized system for provisioning and maintaining Jenkins build servers as well as an innovative command-line tool that leverages Terraform and AWS APIs to provide a simple, consistent way to provision and deploy infrastructure and services to AWS. In addition, we don’t just want to build quickly, we want to build quality. We have a commitment to scalability and quality as a part of our “Engineering DNA”.

YOUR MISSION: 

Site Reliability Engineering at Zuora zeros in on enablement of all our engineering teams to autonomously operate their services. The mission is to enable the NoOps creative thought process and assist with expertise in areas such as no-touch delivery, automation & remediation. We are accelerating down the path towards a micro service & API-driven world.

• Run our global infrastructure with tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD & Kubernetes in a multi-cloud platform
• Always driving towards fully automated processes, always thinking “How can I automate this?” then executing it
• Velocity is the name of the game, we will continuously fail fast, fail smart & iterate toward greatness
• Visibility is power & by harnessing those data points we will accelerate in a data-driven world resetting standards each day by pushing those limits until we have decided they are where we want them to be

WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE

• Look at every task that requires a person to execute it, strip it down & automate it
• Configure monitoring and alerting to ensure integrity, reliability & the performance that all the dinosaurs thought couldn’t be done
• Take on capacity planning head on, shaping the multi-cloud world to bend to your will & leaving the competition behind.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• You bring your excellent communication, problem solving, critical thinking & passion to the table each day to disrupt, make impact & rewrite the rulebook
• You have experience in one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Infrastructure as code is not some buzzwords to you, but an arsenal of tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm arm you to be a force to be reckoned with
• You have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude and ideally work experience with languages like Go, C, Shell, Python, or Java
• 5+ years of experience
