Job Description
- Collaborate with the product teams, government/client stakeholders, and other contractors to build new systems and make improvements to existing systems
- Work across multiple workstreams, supporting agile engineering practices including Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code
- Work with researchers, designers, government/client stakeholders, and other engineers to understand and articulate requirements and constraintsÂ
- Articulate the benefits and risks associated with different approaches in different functional environments
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software applicationsÂ
- Support new features and applications development to improve existing softwareÂ
- Analyze problems and determine appropriate course correction measures as necessaryÂ
- Demonstrate a passion for learning, ability to create and adapt systems, and ability to collaborate with creative, technical, and business stakeholders and team members
- Enterprise architecture skills including application, information, and infrastructure
- Experience with AWS services like CloudWatch, Lambda, container runtimes (EKS, ECS), IAM, ALB, etc.
- Experience in automating Cloud Platform infrastructure (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with security, monitoring and analysis tools such as Datadog, Splunk, SonarQube, NewRelic, Nessus, etc.
- Experience in security aspects of cloud infrastructure, vulnerability scanning and remediation, threat modeling & detection, static and dynamic testing, security documentation
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar configuration management software
- Experience in DevOps, continuous delivery and automation using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer, CloudBees Jenkins, Nexus, etc.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong technical documentation skills
- 6+ years experience with Python, Ruby, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or other open-source programming language
- 5+ years experience in DevSecOps/Infrastructure Automation
- 4+ years experience working in a professional agile environment
- 4+ years experience working with APIs
- 3+ years experience working on a remote team or remote freelancing
- Prior professional services, government, or federal consulting experience
- Experience in web development a plus
- Familiarity with FHIR/SMART on FHIR and CQL a plus
- Experience working with PHI/PII a plus
- Analytical: Analytical skills and an ability to create systems
