Along with our investor, ParkerGale Capital, we are scaling the company and its offerings to drive our next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Cloud Architect, you will help advise the Engineering team on how to build specific applications and/or features using metrics. Some of these metrics exist today but many of them will be set by this person and the recommendations made. Cross-functional communication will be key as you will be tasked with showing why capacity planning and other monitoring factors are important. Acting as a sounding board on infrastructure approaches/decisions is another large part of the responsibilities.

What You'll Accomplish - Your Performance Objectives

Objective #1: In your first 30 days:

• Learn as much as you can about the company, team, and product.
• Get familiar with our infrastructure and current initiatives.
• Participate and provide feedback on architecture discussions.

Objective #2: In your first 3 months:

• Automate an application deployment.
• Identify changes for the architecture from the reliability, performance and availability perspectives with a data driven approach.

Objective #3: In your first 6 months:

• Design a production ready CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop metric driven approach to continuously improve our monitoring and scaling capabilities

Technical Skills: Experience in DevOps methodology and SRE principles. Demonstrated proficiency with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM). Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, mainly Terraform. Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins as well as metrics and monitoring related tools like Prometheus and OpenTelemetry. Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale applications (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms).
