Senior Site Reliability Engineer

First Orion is seeking a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a leading call protection and data provider in the Data Solutions Group. Individuals in this role will be responsible for helping to scale out our infrastructure by writing automation recipes which will help with software builds and releases, system monitoring and other day to day tasks.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensure compliance and security standards for ISO and corporate standardization.
• Create continuous build and code deployment through the environments.
• Work with the team to maintain the development and testing infrastructure, such as installation of systems, patches, backups, upgrades, and security.
• Runbook and Work Instruction creation to help standardize operational and improve operational excellence.
• Data Quality Management and Standardization with data formats such as JSON, Delta Lake, XML and Parquet
• Creating and scheduling jobs with Databricks Notebooks
• Work with Operations team to implement monitoring and provide runbooks for production support.
• Create Dashboards and Alerts in Databricks for operational visualization to help improve response times and create automation improvements.

What you'll need:

• 6+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS or another cloud service provider.
• 2+ years of experience with defining infrastructure using Terraform or other IaaC tool.
• Strong familiarity with continuous integration tools, such as CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Jenkins, etc.
• Strong familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and micro-service architecture
• Experience with a scripting language such as Scala, Python or Golang
• Experience administrating Linux systems
• Experience with Git version control
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience with MySQL or relational databases
• Software release experience
• Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks

• Experience with REST API
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
• Experience with AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS)
• Experience working with gRPC services
• Experience working with Hadoop/Spark, Databricks
• Knowledge about big data platforms
