Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Adobe, Inc. (San Francisco or San Jose)
Position Type: Full-time
Introduction:
Adobe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the engineering team behind Adobe Connect Hosted. The SRE will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of our production systems and applications. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve technical issues, as well as implement processes and tools to improve the reliability and efficiency of our systems. You will also serve as a technical leader and mentor for other SREs on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate across multiple teams to resolve technical issues related to the production systems and SRE applications
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Develop and maintain documentation on production systems and processes
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure timely response to production issues
- Lead technical projects and initiatives to improve the reliability and efficiency of our systems
- Define and drive the best engineering practices as a technical leader
- Mentoring other members of the team is a key responsibility
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as an SRE or in an equivalent role
- Strong understanding of computer systems and network architecture
- Experience with at least one programming language (such as Python, Java, C++, or Go)
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools (such as Saltstack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (such as Prometheus, New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Experience with AWS cloud computing platform
- Experience improving CI/CD tools integration and operations
- Experience with database systems (such as MSSQL or Postgres)
- Experience with automation workflow systems (such as StackStorm, Rundeck, or Jenkins)
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Experience leading technical projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $151,400 -- $278,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
