Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This position is open to remote employment in the following locations: US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Czechia, Greece, Netherlands

We also have offices in the NYC; San Francisco; Londonderry, NH; Reading, UK; Brighton, UK; and soon to be Cork, Ireland

We’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our platform team. A talented individual to help us build and scale our AWS & bare metal infrastructures. Platform at NS1 is a mix of systems, networking, automation, and development. Our SREs amplify teams by working closely together with backend developers and sometimes stepping into their shoes to build and ship observable applications. SREs see the future by building well-instrumented services and environments that signal trouble well before any customer is affected. SREs are empowered to make any changes necessary to deliver reliable, resilient services.

• AWS (EC2/RDS, DynamoDB, IAM) (other cloud provider experience may be considered)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshooting complex production systems
• Proficient with Docker and experience with containerized applications 
• Strong experience with Terraform & Ansible
• Strong operational knowledge of Linux systems, security, networking, and automation
• Proficiency with scripting and GoLang
• Ability to effectively collaborate with developers
• Extra kudos for experience with:
• Observability/Monitoring
• Kubernetes
• Performance tuning
• Domain Name System, DNS tools and protocol
• Jenkins
• RabbitMQ
