Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

About the Role

We are looking to add a Site Reliability Engineer to our Clearbit infrastructure team. This role involves a blend of developer support, proactive upgrades, and rigorous maintenance to ensure our service reliability and performance. Ideal candidates should be passionate about automating processes, solving complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable with ambiguity.

About the Team

This Clearbit infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining all the infrastructure needed to run all the Clearbit products and support all developers working on the products. You will get to work in a best-in-class tech stack that includes AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Athena, and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide developer support and consultation to ensure optimal integration and efficient deployment of applications with AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Athena, and Terraform.
• Proactively manage, maintain, and upgrade cloud infrastructure to enhance performance and reliability.
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions that proactively detect and resolve issues to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management processes.
• Design and implement secure, robust, and scalable infrastructure solutions using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our production environment, including performance bottlenecks and system failures.
• Document system design and procedural steps to maintain system health and security compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions that align with our business goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes container orchestration, and PostgreSQL database management.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash) for automation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Cash compensation range: 186300-279500 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
