Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Private Cloud Operations

What will you do? 

• Leading and coordinating a team of talented Site Reliability Engineers and Cloud Platform Engineers to support and design highly scalable, secure, and highly available architectures for cloud platforms (PCF/Tanzu Application Service, Kubernetes/OpenShift Container Platform, ElasticSearch Cloud Enterprise, Confluent Kafka)

• Promote automation and infrastructure best practices

• Design reviews of cloud platforms new features and changes

• Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms like Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, Kafka, Elasticsearch on private cloud

• Run regular sessions with platform teams review changes and provide feedback

• Commit code back into platform team repo's to make platform changes as required

• You will minimize risk of reliability related failure outcomes as pertaining to durability, availability, performance, and correctness

• Write code and scripts to automate infrastructure and other common workflows

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide platform support, incident management, and troubleshooting

What do you need to succeed? 

Must Have 

• Experience with automation and scripting

• Experience with any cloud platform Kubernetes, Cloud foundry) or services (Elasticsearch, Kafka) and infrastructure.

• 2+ years of experience working with one or more of: Python, GO, Ruby, Java

• A passion for automating away reoccurring problems through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code

Nice to Have 

• Experience with development

• Experience with infrastructure administration

• Knowledge of SRE principles

• An aptitude for learning and solutions design
