Senior Site Reliability Engineer(Payzapp)

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and manage business applications to cloud platforms using Containers orchestration, Service mesh, API gateways, CI/CD components & Observability stacks.
• Designing and implementing automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Monitoring the underlying infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, scalability and reliability of all the services.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
• Collaborate with product, development and operation teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle and follow best SRE practices.

Skills

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
• Good troubleshooting skills on Linux.
• Hands-on experience on Networking and knowledge on kernel fundamentals.
• Good knowledge on Public cloud solutions, any one of them OR more (AWS, GCP, Azure), AWS preferred. 
• Hands on experience on Kubernetes, dockers and containers. 
• Hands-on experience on CI/CD tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD. Hands-on experience on Observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, NewRelic etc.
• Hands-on experience to build dashboards on Prometheus and Grafana. 
• Hands-on experience on any one of [OR more] the development and scripting languages [Python, Ruby, GO & bash], preferably Python and bash. 
• Familiarity with Postgres RDBMS and ElasticCache. Good understanding on Distributed computing systems and microservice based architectures.
• Hands-on experience on envoy, API gateway (Kong or Ambassador or Traefik), Service Mesh (Istio or consul mesh or linkerd/conduit) Infrastructure as code & Configuration management with tools like Terraform, Ansible etc
• .Familiarity with other tools like Opsgenie and Jira. Open to working in rotation, night shifts and during weekends.

Experience and Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in site reliability engineering.
• B.Tech/M.Tech in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• Having experience working for a product organization is a plus.
