We are seeking a creative Senior Social Media Manager to lead content experiments for the team and innovate for our social-first brand. As a core member of our growing marketing team, you are someone who lives on the For You Page and loves crafting content that engages, entertains, and inspires.

The ideal candidate is highly creative and self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, and collaborates well with others.

You Will...

  • Create entertaining, iconic content for Duolingo that people want to share
  • Work closely with our international country marketing managers and their agency partners to uplevel their social know-how and elevate their creative through trainings, brainstorms, and content reviews
  • Lead our social media experiments - whether it's testing new platforms, scripting videos, producing live-streams, or working on fresh video formats – you’ll consistently find new and novel ways to express our brand and engage our audience
  • Work on large-scale content campaigns ranging from content with creators, to scripted content with our animated characters
  • Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to ideate and develop social-first campaigns

You Have...

  • 3-5 years social media experience at a major brand or creator account
  • Video portfolio that includes long and short format content
  • Ability to work in high-level content strategy and hands-on production tasks with extreme attention to detail
  • Video production experience – you’re intimately familiar with in-app creator tools across social platforms and know your way around a video editing software like Adobe Premiere
  • Proven interpersonal skills and passion for engaging with our social media communities
  • Ability to relocate to and work in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY

Exceptional Candidates Will Have...

  • Proficiency in multiple languages
  • Experience working internationally
  • Experience working on both in-house teams and in a studio/agency environment
  • Shipped industry-acclaimed creative work
  • Can dance in a mascot suit

We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.

The multi-level salary range for this role is  $113,050 - $234,000 and is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. Your recruiter can share more details about the range for a specific level during the hiring process. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
