You will elevate Akamai's brand by accelerating relevance and awareness among key audiences and influencers. We shape the perception of the Akamai brand through exceptional messaging, content, creative, and digital marketing experiences. We apply our expertise to plan and enable cross-functional marketing content that drives measurable business results.

Partner with the best

You will manage the Social Media & Digital Programs on a global level as part of the Organic Social Media Team. You will serve as the point of contact for Akamai's social media programs and work as an evangelist of Social Media, Employee Advocacy & Influencer programs.

As a Senior Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Leading in the management of re-establishing our social media strategy based on data audits and insights
• Devising creative and innovative digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders to enhance our content calendar and increase ROI
• Leading virtual presentations that educate and excite
• Monitoring social landscape and trends including influencers, competitors, new platforms
• Collaborating with agency partners to identify relevant influencers to amplify awareness, while ensuring alignment with core messaging

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant marketing experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
• Have a track record of growing a brand from scratch on a new platform and/or successful campaign on YouTube
• Maintain excellent analytical, data-driven strategy, and project management skills
• Provide a global, inclusive approach to enhance our social media content for our global audience
• Demonstrate experience with operating on social as a publicly-traded company, especially in the B2C space

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $77,487 - $116,021/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
