Senior Software Architect

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Architect with the ability to lead, advise, and support Air Force programs that cut across existing and developing enterprise technologies located at Hanscom, AFB in Bedford, Massachusetts.

What this position is: As a member of the Digital Technology Transformation Team (DT3), the successful candidate will increase awareness of available enterprise services, match users to the right service(s), expedite delivery of integrated solutions by identifying and leveraging existing and emerging integrated digital capabilities to provide streamlined digital enterprise solutions to the Department of Air Force and Joint communities.

What this position is not: This is not a hands-on developer position that will be building out technologies.

The functions required to be performed by individuals assigned to this specialty may include:

• Experience with tactical Information Technology such as Cloud Computing, DevSecOps, Zero Trust and Digital Engineering.
• Experience with ABMS.
• Translating systems requirements into applications prototypes.
• Planning and designing systems architecture.
• Determining output media/formats.
• Working with customers to test applications.
• Integrating hardware and software components.
• Writing and maintaining program documentation.
• Evaluating new applications software technologies; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.
• Plan and or implement agile acquisition/SW development techniques.
• Plan and or implement DevOps processes and techniques for Cloud and non-cloud applications.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelors or master's degree in engineering
• 7-10+ years of Network Communications Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Department of Defense (DoD)
