The Job Details are as follows:

The Metadata Applications division is seeking a results-driven application architect to lead our development team transforming our applications and delivery process. In this role, you will be entrusted with the architecture, design, development, and delivery of applications encompassing user interfaces, web services, databases and batch and streaming jobs. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing architecture, creating prototypes, and helping to solve the hard problems the organization is facing, all while working with developers, product managers, and other architects.

Top-notch candidates will have experience designing and delivering high quality user interfaces, web services, and APIs leveraging CI/CD pipelines and should also understand how to lead and empower engineers to thrive in that style of development. You should be a skilled problem solver with a strong understanding of the broad range of software technologies and platforms as well as a strong communicator. You will become highly knowledgeable in the business needs of libraries as you partner with the product leadership to create solutions that meet their evolving needs.

Major Responsibilities:

• Drives innovative design for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state systems
• Creates an rapid paced development environment, leading software engineering teams to transform leveraging state of the art software development and delivery processes and methods
• Partners with product and development stakeholders to architect and design systems and processes to create application solutions.
• Translates business objectives into application architecture designs that are scalable and support our architecture vision and development and business goals
• Mentors application tech leads and Engineers to ensure system architecture aligns with the current and target state of the division.
• Creates proof of concepts, spikes, and other R&D required to enable future development paradigms

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years' experience as a Lead Developer or Application Architect
• 3+ years' experience with state of modern software development frameworks, platforms, and techniques covering areas such as modern UI frameworks, cloud, containers, PaaS, micro-services, and RESTful services.
• Deep understanding and experience delivering software in all complexities of a large enterprise with experience shipping cloud native solutions and/or on premise
• Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and passion for your work

• Excellent communication skills and fluent English (speaking/reading/writing) with the ability to translate technical expressions into easy to understand and clear language
• Proven collaboration skills across the organization.
