Job Description:

As a Senior Architect at Chalice.AI, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance technology solutions. Your expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Snowflake, Airflow, data management, and machine learning platforms will be crucial in enhancing our data infrastructure and supporting our advertising technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based solutions on AWS to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

• Technology Automation and Integration: Design solutions that automate the application of our solutions to 3rd party platform APIs

• Data Management: Oversee the implementation and management of data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.

• Workflow Orchestration: Develop and manage ETL pipelines and workflow automation using Apache Airflow to streamline data processes.

• Machine Learning: Integrate and manage machine learning platforms to enhance data analytics and predictive modeling capabilities.

• Technology Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define technology strategies and roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives.

• Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, data management, and software development across the organization.

• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, proactively suggesting improvements and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology architecture, with a strong focus on AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, and machine learning platforms.  Experience working in a startup or SMB is strongly desired.

• Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in the programmatic advertising, with a deep understanding of its unique challenges and requirements.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, and others.

  • Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing solutions, including schema design, performance optimization, and security. In particular, experience with large (> 100TB) data sets.

  • Strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation and orchestration.

  • Experience developing solutions in Python and C#.

  • Solid understanding of data management principles, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

  • Experience with machine learning platforms and tools for data analytics and predictive modeling.

• Leadership: Proven track record of leading technology projects and teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation:

This role's salary range is $140,000-165,000, based on experience and location. Plus equity in an early-stage startup.
