A Senior Software Developer involves working as part of and or leading a team on the design and implementation of Java-based solutions using either traditional SDLC or Agile software development methodologies. While working as part of a team, you will have the opportunity to work with other Developers and Java Architects, and you will participate in module and or application designs. When leading a team, you will have full responsibility of managing tasking and planning of the overall effort.

The senior software developer will implement creative solutions to complex problems, which may include introducing new systems to our technology stacks, reworking data models, re-thinking persistence layers, or simply taking an active role in code reviews. As an essential part of Armedia's requirements for the senior software developer will be to evangelize product excellence for enterprise-grade application development. They will be expected to mentor and learn from our team of world-class developers and mentor junior developers.

You will be expected to know and understand common Java design and development concepts and should have significant prior experience with designing and implementing complex solutions or working on a team that is implemented Enterprise wide solutions. You will be expected to be able to develop and deploy web applications from any of the popular IDEs into Tomcat or any JEE application server.

Specific technology areas and responsibilities include:

• Developing enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/JEE (and higher), AngularJS, React.js, SQL, Spring, and HTML5, among other tools.
• Building highly scalable web applications to support document management, case management, data analysis and visualization for enterprise level projects.
• Creating design documentation, program and test applications, and iterate through the project life cycle.
• Implementation of DevOps technologies, processes and procedures to support continuous integration and delivery to cloud based infrastructures

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
• Designs and codes applications following use cases, functional requirements, design process flows, and screen mockups.
• Develops RESTful web services to implement services based frameworks
• Uses Java, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery Mobile, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and related technologies.
• Develops a single 508 compliant interface that serves users on workstations, tablets, and smartphones using customer preferred templates for standard look and feel
• Develops interfaces with upstream and downstream systems, database updates, and may interface with Exchange/Outlook, a document object repository, and external agencies.
• May develop migration routines to support legacy data conversion, forward fill, and back fill to keep legacy and new systems in sync until legacy system retirement.

Requirements

Required Education:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

Desired Professional Certifications:

• AWS Associate
• Alfresco Developer
• SCRUM (CSM, SSM, SCP or CSP)

Required Years of Relevant Experience:

• Ten (10) plus years of total experience

Required Skills:

• Java (J2SE/EE)
• Agile Scrum
• Angular JS or similar framework
