Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer programs and configures software to meet TIAA business needs. Under moderate supervision, this job identifies and analyzes business software needs, writes code to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure and conducts testing to ensure programs are functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Interprets written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs in financial industry.


• Collaborates with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions.


• Performs coding to written technical specifications.

Position Summary

TIAA India is looking for a Cloud Engineer, for development / Engineering work based out of TIAA India office in Pune. The incumbent is expected to work alongside global peers and will be responsible to understanding the requirements of teams that are trying to move to Cloud, and facilitate their onboarding. The incumbent is expected to:

• Have strong experience (At least 5 Years) on Cloud Platforms primarily on AWS
• Has in depth knowledge on AWS Platform
• Sound knowledge and experience on DevOps/CICD Pipelines and tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with Ansible, Power Shell, Python, Shell Scripting, Perl, NFS/SAN, DNS, Proficient operating in a VMware and Container based infrastructure ,GCP, Azure
• Working experience for environment like  Oracle, MYSQL, Java, Tomcat, NodeJS, NGinX
• Knowledge on Kubernetes , Docker , Openshift platform

TIAA India is looking for delivery focused technical expert that has experience in designing, implementing, & architecting Cloud solutions. This role is to assist the Cloud product management engineering team in building an enterprise wide platform in which it can grow.

Functional Knowledge (Not limited to)

• Hands on with Cloud Technologies
• Can understand the Infrastructure and Services requirements of Applications trying to move to Cloud and facilitate their onboarding
• End to End understanding on Cloud including but not limited to Cloud Infrastructure, Containers, High Level Cloud Security, Cloud Patterns, Cloud Governance and Cloud Operations
• Been part of Cloud Adoption journey of an organization cloud platform
• Knowledge on AWS platform is preferred

Interpersonal skills

• Should have worked in global teams
• Passionate about making a difference and continuously upgrading Technology Skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and concise information for targeted audiences across internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organized with excellent verbal, written and editing skills and strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

• Required Education:    Engineering or Post Graduation Degree
• Required Experience:  5-8 years of relevant development experience in Cloud Solutions space
