JOB DESCRIPTION - SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can drive our tech stack transition from .NET to Core utilizing AWS Cloud server-less environments, while developing and maintaining our full-stack applications in a multi-tier environment. Ideal candidate will be smart, passionate about software development, self-motivated, and eager to continually grow.

• Lead design, development, and deployment of object-oriented software applications
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Design web-based applications for both internal and external users, using various data stores, and integrating with enterprise applications
• Design and develop RESTful APIs that can be consumed by presentation layers, batch programs, other APIs, and third parties
• Establish programmatic tasks and perform unit tests of features and solutions
• Interface and consume third party APIs from Financial Services Partners and Telecom providers
• Follow corporate and team standards for design, security, efficiency, application logging, monitoring/alerting, and documentation
• Support corporate CRM application and automate business processes
• Triage and fix production application issues
• Stay abreast of new technologies and practices to further enhance team capabilities and own skills
• Participate in on-call rotation to support new and existing products
• Lead and mentor software engineers

Qualifications:

• 8+ years hands-on experience in Application Development with object-oriented development languages (Python and C# a must)
• 3+ years operating in an Agile environment
• 2+ years working with Microsoft® SQL Server and/or Snowflake, including using indexes, stored procedures, views, and triggers
• 1+ years working in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
• Ability to solve problems and learn business rules and processes
• Ability to demonstrate strategic, data-driven thinking combined with efficient implementation
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical peers and business customers
• Ability work on a team as well as complete projects and tasks individually
• Hands-on, self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
