Job Summary:

ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience and the ability to lead tasks independently. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Java, C++, and SQL Server, and be proficient in managing both back-end and front-end applications. Additionally, the suitable candidate will have a track record of designing complex solutions, working with decision algorithms, identification technology, complex integration technology, APIs, and performance optimization. The Senior Software Developer will directly work with customers to convert business requirements into technical specifications for the development team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will also collaborate closely with the Chief Architect, providing support to the Project Manager, and contributing to metrics and reporting. This position requires the ability to obtain Federal background clearance, and it is essential that applicants be US citizens, as no visa or work permit sponsorship will be offered. Please note that relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage software development tasks independently, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Collaborate directly with customers to convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications for the development team.
• Design and develop complex software solutions using Java, C++, and SQL Server for both front-end and back-end applications.
• Implement complex decision algorithms, identification technology, and integration solutions through APIs.
• Optimize software performance and ensure code security to meet industry standards.
• Work on performance optimization, reporting, and other agile development practices.
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Architect and other team members to align software solutions with architectural standards and best practices.
• Provide support to the Project Manager in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
• Generate metrics and reporting to measure the success of software development initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong project experience with Java, C++, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in managing both back-end and front-end applications.
• Experience in designing complex solutions and working with decision algorithms, identification technology, complex integration technology, and APIs.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in performance optimization and code security.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain Federal background clearance.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing abilities.
