Senior Software Developer in Test, Platform

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test to level up our automated testing, validation, and release processes. You’ll join the Cesium ion team and help build the future of 3D geospatial on the web with SaaS and Self-Hosted cloud-native applications already serving tens of millions of requests every day and growing.

What you’ll do:

• Grow and maintain a comprehensive automated test suite for Cesium ion products to streamline our continuous integration and release processes, validate new features and identify regressions.
• Triage issues reported by customers and community members and work with the team on providing solutions.
• Perform manual testing as needed, but with a goal of automating everything.

What we’re looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in automated testing of web-based services and applications.
• Skilled in at least one unit testing and one end-to-end testing framework, such as Jasmine, Jest, Selenium, or Playwright
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure, such as GitHub Actions
• Excellent debugging, triaging, and problem solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ways to stand out:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Experience with geospatial software and/or data
