Senior Software Developer Ireland

We're scaling rapidly and need your skills to develop key components for our promotions and pricing platforms, as well as warehouse integration systems! 

What you will do:

• Manage significant projects while guiding the team on implementation and best practices. 
• Lead the team in writing code for projects, while also providing guidance on implementation and best practices 
• Develop technical plans and contribute to our technical architecture as we scale our products 
• Grow your team’s capacity by mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates 
• Drive innovation through research into new technologies. 
• Play a major role in design of cloud solutions to solve business problems. 
• Proactively participate in Agile processes including backlog refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and estimation. 

Skills required:

• 5+ years of Software Development experience.
• Strong technical skills in programming, particularly in writing production-quality code (e.g., Java, C#, Phyton etc)
• Experience in writing and reviewing technical documents
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably GCP. 
• Ability to mentor team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a proven track record of effective teamwork and adaptability to evolving technologies. 
• Proficiency in unit/integration testing. 
• Experience in scaling applications for performance and availability. 

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with GCP cloud architecture. 
• Knowledge of GraphQL. 
• Knowledge in data structures and algorithms. 
• Experience with observability tools such as New Relic. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform. 

What you will learn

• Developing a pricing platform on the cloud capable of processing millions of events daily. 
• Utilising the latest technologies and approaches like Apache Pulsar and GCP in a CI/CD environment. 
• Strategies for monitoring and supporting an event driven system.

Education:

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
