The Platform Team empowers over 250 BEUMER Group developers in Denmark and Germany with cutting-edge technologies, core software services, essential tools, security standards, and expert guidance. As a senior developer, you’ll explore diverse technologies, collaborate closely with your team, and receive support from a development-savvy team lead. Your mission: to be an ambassador, driving our software department forward into the future and overcoming challenges without hesitation.

The Platform team, with 12 members across Denmark and Germany, is part of BEUMER's global Software division and has a clear ambition: to simplify the lives of application developers and reduce their cognitive load, all while introducing novel ideas and cutting-edge technologies into the software development process. We deliver tools and services directly to internal teams, establish security baselines, and ensure compliance with stringent security requirements.

As Senior Software Developer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You develop and maintain a software platform as a product for application developers in close dialogue with them
• You implement and optimize a fully automated CI/CD pipeline with GitLab
• You enhance and improve the software engineering toolbox, e.g. Docker or Grafana
• You guide and support application teams in the use of tools, architecture, models etc., such as a microservice architecture or zero-trust security model
• You explore and experiment with new technologies
• You train the organization in tools like Git, Docker and more
• You test out ideas with the team for future improvements and evaluate their success
• You work with cyber security compliance, standards, and frameworks like ISO27001, IEC62443 or NIST

Qualifications

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in software development
• You have experience in microservice development, virtualization and container orchestration
• You are proficient with a range of software tools (e.g., Git, Docker, MQTT), programming languages (Java) and operating systems (e.g., Linux)
• You have strong English skills
