Are you our next Senior Software Developer? We’re looking for a Software Developer with DevOps & SRE experience to join our amazing Product Site Reliability team. As a Senior Software Developer at Bananatag on the Product Site Reliability team, you will build, monitor and improve our infrastructure systems. You will advocate for Site Reliability Engineering best practices, own our incident response process and help launch reliable products and services. You will help us plan our technology roadmap and work closely with leadership and the engineering team to research, advocate and apply the latest and greatest technology to our pipelines and infrastructure.

What you’ll be up to:

• Contributing to our infrastructure as code project
• Empowering engineering teams by supporting them through system design consulting, and doing launch reviews
• Improving internal processes to support our ability to ship fast while maintaining high quality systems
• Enhancing and building tools and automation to reduce human errors and labour
• Actively participating in on-call shifts and providing incident support by helping teams with their incident response strategy and assisting with post mortem processes to define root causes

What you’ll come with:

Must Have:

• Proven industry experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Devops
• Proficient in senior level programming including a technical understanding of web applications built in Javascript
• Proficient in database management, both RDS and NoSQL
• Proficient writing cloud native applications (AWS, Azure), including systems like AWS ECS (Fargate/Kubernetes), S3, cloudfront, etc
• Experience with Linux and the Unix Shell (bash)
• Experience with Terraform as a framework for infrastructure as code
• Experience building and working on deployment systems and CI/CD
• Experience collecting and processing metrics from tools such as Prometheus/Datadog/NewRelic, and can support teams with setting up SLO and SLI targets.
• Experience responding to production incidents and facilitating post mortems

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js
• Familiarity of a frontend framework such as React, Angular or Vue
• Hold AWS certifications (Developer/ Solutions Architect)
