Summary of the role:

Are you the next Senior Software Development Engineer we are looking for?

• We are recruiting a talented developer to join our Amadeus Channel Manager Direct (ACMD) team to build our next generation cloud native Channel Manager product.
• You will connect tens of thousands of hotels with all the distribution channels.
• You will facilitate the distribution of Availability, Rate and Inventory (ARI) and Reservation delivery from 100's of OTAs, Wholesalers, Tour Operators, Channel Managers and Meta Partners.
• You will connect to world known partners like Expedia, Booking.com, Ctrip, Agoda,
• This component is mission critical with stringent availability and must allow for massive scalability to sustain our future growth ambition.
• You will discover a brand-new architecture, learn a lot technically as functionally in a global environment embracing and taking the best of TravelClick and Amadeus cultures as it is serving our iHotelier CRS (Central reservation System) for mid-size chains as well as our Enterprise grade CRS.
• You will develop (design, code in Java mainly implement unit test & regression, debug, document) and maintain the solution.
• You will be a motivated developer, autonomous, proactive, willing to face challenges and/or eager to learn how to face them, and also participate to the teamwork, accompanying infrastructure and functional evolutions within Hotel IT.

In this role you'll:

• The key design characteristics of ACMD are:
  • Speed, scale and stability to support 20 million ARI events per day.
  • Facilitation includes the necessary orchestration, data model translation and translation of messages between ACMD and the Partner.
  • Angular Micro Front End UI to facilitate the definition of distribution rules.
  • Technology stack : Java, SpringBoot, Apache Camel, Oracle 19c, CouchBase, ActiveMQ(Kafka), Oracle Coherence, Azure
• Design systems and code
• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
• Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
• Model, design and implement databases
• Test and maintain the software
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.
• Document your work
• Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
• Lead Technical choice
• Conduct technical design analysis and provide guidance to Scrum team for their developments

About the ideal candidate:

• Education: Master's degree in computer science with 6+ years of experience in software development
• Relevant Work Experience:
  • Software developer
  • Experienced in designing and building systems
  • Work in the Hospitality Industry (CRS, PMS, OTAs, RMS) is a plus
• Business Understanding:
  • Understanding of the challenges of companies working in complex ecosystems.
  • Understanding of the Hospitality industry.
