Primary Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and extensive experience with AWS Cloud services. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.
  • Implement and manage data architecture on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval performance, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Implement best practices for data management, including data governance, security, and privacy.
  • Perform data ETL tasks to integrate data from various sources.
  • Automate data workflows and implement monitoring and logging to ensure the health and performance of the data infrastructure.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high data quality standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, architecture and workflows.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and implement them to enhance our data infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, Lambda (serverless), DynamoDB, and RDS.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
  • Expertise in designing and managing data pipelines and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance in Redshift.
  • Solid experience with data integration tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and data science workflows.
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to establish best design and user flows for applications.
  • Strong multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Satisfactory background check required.
