Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will support our Payments team. Challenges you’ll meet:

• Design develop and maintain test platforms and frameworks for frontend and backend systems.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD process and observability platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and products.

• Write unit component integration UI/UX API e2e and contract tests.

• Identify potential test gaps and propose solutions to address them.

• Work closely with software engineers to understand architecture code structure user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Participate in design and code reviews to promote quality and identify potential test requirements.

• Identify log and track defects ensuring timely resolution and contributing to high product quality.

• Analyze test results and provide regular reports on test coverage defects and overall quality metrics. Make it automated as a part of the testing platform.

• Provide 2nd level of support and bug fixing as a member of the site reliability process.

• Writing maintaining and supporting test documentation.

• Perform load scalability and performance testing.

• Monitor production and test environment health.

Your professional qualities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or in a similar role.

• Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium Appium JUnit TestNG etc.).

• Strong proficiency in a programming language such as Java.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CircleCI) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and branching strategies.

• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g. Postman RestAssured).

• Experience with test visibility within Observability platforms like Datadog grafana etc.

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner).

• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of the testing pyramid with experience to write tests for each level.

• English language proficiency (intermediate level or above) both written and spoken.
