About the Role:

As a Senior Engineer on the App Platform team, you'll be the driving force behind initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and performance of our mobile applications. Your expertise will not only contribute to our technical strategy but also position you as the trusted guide for product engineering teams crafting features within our mobile apps. Your role blends technical mastery with strategic influence, creating a subtle yet significant impact on our mobile landscape.

You Will:

• Work on Remitly's React Native react-native based applications and the tooling ecosystem that supports them.
• Approach technical challenges with a focus on customer (both internal and external) needs.
• Drive solutions that scale other engineers from initial architecture to final implementation, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivery.
• Assist teams by offering technical design consultation, developing platforms and frameworks, and resolving reliability issues.
• Promote engineering excellence by delivering solutions that are well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient.
• Develop team expertise through mentoring, code review, participation in interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
• Execute application wide improvements and maintain the health of CI/CD pipelines.
• Report to the Engineering Manager of the App Platform team

You Have:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong mobile app development (Android, iOS, or React Native) experience.
• Deep knowledge of app architectural patterns, mobile networking, native SDKs, and app store release processes.
• Experience with maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test-automation
• Great interpersonal skills - must be able to demonstrate an ability to work well with other non-technical members of the team
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000 - 225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
