Senior Software Development Engineer, Money

Social Finance, LLC seeks Senior Software Development Engineer, Money in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties: Use Java, Kotlin, Kafka and Postgres to build performant and scalable backend
applications in a cloud-based microservice architecture. Participate in shaping the technical
architecture of the product. Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical
solutions. Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment. Mentor
other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team. Generate ideas for new
initiatives and technologies. Participate in code and design reviews. Mentor other engineers,
support the technical culture, and help grow the team. Work in a collaborative coding
environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull
requests. Building full stack applications with working on React or Flutter. Proven track record of
building highly-scalable REST APIs. Experience with workflow orchestration systems, such as
Temporal.io. Prior experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Practical
knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (gradle, git, automated testing and deployments). Telecommuting
is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science,
Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience
in job offered or in any occupation in a related field, OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign
equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative
discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any
occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) SQL; (3) Python; (4) C; (5) C++; (6) HTML; (7) JS; (8)
Spring Boot; and (9) Postgres SQL. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or
experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
