General Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing web-based systems in a full-stack environment including working with front-end components, business logic, workflow logic, backend systems as well as integration endpoints.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in an Agile environment using Scrum practices.
  • Collaborate within a cross-discipline team of 5 individuals.
  • Design web-based and integrated systems with a focus on security, stability, and scalability.
  • Provide product technical guidance through analysis, problem definition, prototyping, and solution proposal.
  • Guide the migration of legacy applications to the cloud and develop new cloud native application functionality.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to provide technical guidance and maintain good code hygiene.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.


Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelors' Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or relevant work experience.


Experience:

  • 7+ years industry experience


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiencies:
    • OO language: Java, C#, Python, etc.
    • Databases: SQL, ORM (Object Relational Mapping), etc.
    • HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
    • REST, GraphQL, etc.
    • Version Control: git, mercurial, etc.
    • CI/CD
  • Experience with (AWS) Amazon Web Services a plus.
  • Strongwritten and verbalcommunication skills.
  • Demonstrates a desire forcontinuous learning.


Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation.
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 25 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions.
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking.
