Senior Software Engineer

What You'll Do
AppDynamics's software engineers are passionate about continuously improving both what we deliver and how we deliver our product to customers. As a Senior Software Engineer in Microservices Foundation team, you will:

• Define the standards, processes, best-practice guidelines and provide a common set of components for developing and deploying microservices in the SaaS environments.
• Drive the development of the foundation components for how we build services and in particular, how we deploy and run our software in SaaS environments.
• Communicate to our internal partners on deployment topics in general, and the merits of our system in particular. Be a standout colleague who enjoys collaborating with, learning from, mentoring, and teaching other team members to build a positive work environment.

Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong understanding of currently accepted and emerging methodologies for managing infrastructure at scale. Important requirements include:

• 5+ years experience in building and deploying enterprise production systems in Java (Golang is a plus)
• Software and product development experience in cloud computing (e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure) on Linux and UNIX based systems
• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Experience with Continuous Delivery practices such as GitOps is a big plus
• Have the strong desire not to settle with the status quo, but to continuously find ways to improve the overall developer experience
• Outside of the box thinking and problem-solving ability to balance solving problems with technology vs. finding problems to answer with a piece of technology.
• Experience in mentoring junior members and providing technical guidance
