SVT is searching for an experienced Software Engineer to add to our growing Warehouse Execution System (WES) team. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a product undergoing rapid transformation as it scales across multiple deployments. As a senior member on the team, you will set the technical direction and ensure that we are delivering the features customers need and building the software the right way so that it stands the test of time. You will apply your knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in our tech stack to improve the deployability and maintainability of the product and increase the velocity of the broader team. A potential day in the life of SVT’s Senior Software Engineer:  

  • Design and develop new features required to realize solutions for end-customers in the field
  • Review designs and code written by other devs and provide helpful guidance and feedback
  • Collaborate with PMs to organize, plan, and estimate upcoming work
  • Implement and maintain tooling such as build systems, linters, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Evangelize to and mentor others on application development strategies, technologies, techniques, tools, and guidelines 
  • Refactor existing code to be simpler and more maintainable
  • Work with the following tech stack: 
    • C# .NET, Typescript, React
    • SQL Server, Postgres
    • Windows, Linux
    • Azure
    • Event Sourcing, Workflows

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer
  • Expertise in C# .NET and SQL
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design 
  • Self starter
  • Get-things-done attitude

 You get bonus points for having:  

  • Proficiency in Typescript/Javascript and React
  • Azure experience
  • Workflow experience, e.g. Azure Logic Apps or AWS Step Functions
  • Warehousing experience, e.g. WES, WMS, WCS
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Drive to work at a startup
