Position Overview

We are searching for a Software Engineer to join us in developing the next-generation, AI-powered architecture design tool. Your contributions will have a direct impact on shaping our platform. It will enable our users to discover smart, urban solutions and gain valuable insights to build better cities.

According to the UN, more than 90% of future population growth will occur in cities. We need to find ways to maximize the potential of building sites to keep up with this development. At Spacemaker, we are developing software to find the best and most sustainable ways to unlock that potential considering living quality, the environment, and project profitability.

We are well underway in reaching our goals with Spacemaker, and the enormous customer base and the wealth of resources that Autodesk provides will speed up our growth. As a Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing product features that shape the way our users do their work. You will find yourself working with a wide range of technologies, including web-based 3D frameworks, large-scale systems, and cloud computing. We work in cross-functional and autonomous teams, where decisions are made using a bottom-up approach. We believe the people best equipped to determine an approach for a specific problem are the same people working hands-on with that very challenge every day.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain services and databases in our cloud-based infrastructure
• Create and contribute to Spacemaker's front-end code and web components
• Contribute to Spacemaker's backend codebase
• Develop and deploy frameworks that enable machine learning model training and predictions
• Develop our team's tech culture through knowledge sharing

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work autonomously and in a cross functional team
• Significant experience developing in JavaScript/TypeScript & React
• 1 to 2 years experience with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, ECS)
• Experience developing in Python
