Senior Software Engineer

First Orion is seeking a talented C++ Senior Software Engineer to join our collaborative and winning First Orion Data Products team. This team provides businesses with identity verification solutions that help companies recognize legitimate customers, detect fraudulent transactions, and improve business performance. At the core of our services is our large-scale data assets that businesses use to mitigate risk and improve customer experience. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in design, implementation and testing of front-end and back-end software applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and develop service applications, enabling secure, high performance, fault tolerant data exchange
• Design, implement, and test software features on First Orion data products
• Contribute to advancing reliability and performance of the service architecture; introduce new performance counters and instrumentation points
• Participate in the provisioning, deployment and troubleshooting of First Orion data products and services

What you'll need:

• Linux server application development experience
• Experience with C++, C++11, Standard Library & Algorithms
• Multi-threaded programming
• Network programming
• Database programming
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points:

• Parsing data structures, languages
• Experience with C++ templates
• Knowledge of C++14 or C++17
• Prior experience in the telecommunications industry
• Development experience with high-performance low-latency fault-tolerant systems
• Knowledge of AWS-based solution creation and related experience
