Senior Software Engineer 

Job Location: Aerospike, Inc. 2525 E. Charleston Rd., Suite 201, Mountain View, CA 94043.

With a moderate amount of independence, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for leading and engineering software products for Aerospike’s proprietary product line. Duties include:

1. Collaborating with software and support engineers to deploy Aerospike clusters to reproduce and analyze problems reported from field.
2. Mentor and lead other engineers with their tasks.
3. Lead team to design, develop and document Aerospike Connect projects.
4. Work with customers, product and solutions architecture teams to understand requirements.
5. Analyze and improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the platform.
6. Responsible for Aerospike's data processing products and using distributed data analysis to drive use of Aerospike in these applications.
7. Managing the creation, modification, and implementation of general computer applications software or specialized utility programs with an eye towards analyzing user needs and testing required solutions for developing and conducting tests for high performance distributed databases.
8. Leading the analysis of features and failures of enterprise infrastructure and creating and improving automated tests to remedy and ensure proper execution.
9. Driving and overseeing the implementation and utilization of frameworks, tools, and other software and techniques to achieve software testing goals.
10. Lead team of lead software engineers and developers to build, test and release software on the automated system.
11. Creating, conducting, and reviewing tests for high performance distributed databases.

This position requires a master’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related and three (3) years professional experience as a as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or closely related occupation. 

Must have experience with Java, mySQL, and Natural Language Processing.
