Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a broad range of associates to develop new medical devices which help humanity through innovative designs.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance the software that controls and automates medical devices.
- Work with collocated and distributed teams to develop and document software modules/applications using object-oriented principles and Agile methodologies.
- Conduct and participate in design, code and test reviews and inspections, ensuring application of software engineering best practices, as well as the feasibility, efficacy and compliance to functional and regulatory standards.
- Investigate software, hardware and system problems using a variety of techniques, and provide innovative solutions.
- Prepare appropriate documentation as required by internal product development processes and regulatory agencies (FDA and ISO Regulations).
- Participate in all phases of new software development, including requirement specification, design, implementation, software integration and test.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field and 5+ years of experience. Advanced degree a plus.
- Architecture, design and development of C# based solutions.
- Multi-threaded, Windows application design, development, integration, testing and documentation.
- Key concepts in software application design (security, patterns, frameworks, structured code, algorithms, etc.).
- WPF development and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
- Real-time transaction processing and data persistence using databases.
- Ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and to build consensus.
- Excellent teaming skills; able to work with cross-functional, multi-site teams.
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entity Framework and Dependency Injection.
- Understanding of Localization and Internationalization.
- Modern software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum (ScrumMaster experience a plus).
- Experience with GitHUB, Jira and Jenkins.
- Experience developing medical devices and working knowledge of FDA Quality Systems.
