Who You Are:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Applecart, you will play a pivotal role developing applications that our clients and internal teams use to power their strategic communications efforts.   You will be responsible for building the business layer of Applecart’s Decision-Maker Marketing platform. This will involve building full-stack applications for the planning, configuring and tracking of customer advertising audiences. You will join a colocated, hybrid-remote team of skilled and collaborative software engineers dedicated to the continuous delivery of business value. You are an experienced, versatile software developer who feels energized working in an ambitious startup environment. You enjoy collaboration and are eager to broaden your skills in all directions.

Qualifications:

• You have 7+ years of professional software development experience, including front-end and back-end
• You are a technical leader who leads by example with design, refactoring, testing, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• You are a natural collaborator, adept at pair programming and working with a product manager
• You have contributed to the design of complex systems such as SOAs
• You have mastered multiple backend programming languages
• You have strong computer science fundamentals and know operational best practices (e.g. agile, “clean” code, test-driven development, CI/CD, etc…)
• You are an excellent technical communicator

Preferred Qualifications:

• Your language of choice is Python
• Your cloud platform of choice is AWS
• Your provision your own cloud resource using infrastructure-as-code
• Your front-end framework of choice is React

This is a hybrid role. Work from anywhere on Monday and Friday and in Applecart's New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation:

Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.

The base salary range for this role is between $160,000.00-$200,000.00, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed in the “Who You Are” section above. The salary range provided is exclusive of a significant amount of compensation that candidates will receive in the form of cash bonus and equity compensation. The salary range provided for this role is specific to candidates located in the New York City area.
